Who is Silver Streak Senior Solutions?
Silver Streak Senior Solutions is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity that helps low-to-moderate income seniors (55+) age in place safely by providing financial assistance up to $2,500 for essential home repairs, modifications, food assistance, and other critical needs. We can help all seniors nationwide. However, our connections with business owners are limited to the DFW area at this time. But we have plans to grow our resources nationwide.

Who qualifies for assistance from Silver Streak Senior Solutions?
To qualify for assistance, you must:
- Be age 55 or older
- Have a household income of $90,000 or less (Adjusted Gross Income)
- Have liquid assets of $25,000 or less
- Live in the United States or US territories
- Have a legitimate need for home safety modifications, repairs, or essential services
What types of assistance do you provide to seniors?
We provide financial assistance for:
- Home safety modifications (wheelchair ramps, grab bars, stair lifts)
- Bathroom modifications (walk-in showers, raised toilets)
- Emergency repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc.)
- Auto repairs (essential transportation needs)
- Food assistance (grocery gift cards)
- Utility and rent assistance (preventing eviction or shut-offs)
- Adult daycare costs
- Door widening for wheelchair accessibility
- Medical equipment, supplies, or medications
- Rent
Are you affiliated with any other organizations?
The founder of Silver Streak Senior Solutions is also the founder of Silver Streak Senior Services. Silver Streak Senior Services is a site that is also dedicated to senior resources and to building an online senior community. Providing a valuable gateway to community resources and local businesses.
Can I combine assistance from multiple agencies?
Yes. We encourage you to combine all available resources. Please check our community pages on Silver Streak Senior Services or on this site when available. We are happy to help you find additional resources.
How much assistance can I receive?
Seniors can receive up to $2,500 in assistance from Silver Streak Senior Solutions per calendar year. This can be used for a single large project or multiple smaller needs until the cap is reached. Our AI tracking system monitors cumulative assistance to ensure fair distribution.
How long does it take to get approved?
- Emergency needs (eviction, food insecurity, safety-critical repairs): 24-72 hours
- Standard needs (home modifications, non-emergency repairs): Reviewed at next monthly board meeting, typically within 45 days
You'll receive notification of our decision via email or letter, and we'll contact you within 2-3 business days of receiving your application.
Do I have to use providers recommended by you?
No. You can use any provider you are comfortable with. We encourage you to do your own verifications. We will gladly issue a check for the previously approved amount upon proof of completion of work.
Will you ever increase the amount of the grants available?
We sure hope so! As we work hard to increase awareness and donations. We would love to be able to offer more assistance when needed.
